Item 1: 608 Hawke Street/Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 / February 24, 1968 / Miss Bari Holden, President / Mary Washington College Young Republican Club / College Station / Fredericksburg, Virginia / Dear Miss Holden / I would like to thank you and your club members for all your efforts in support of the senior party during my term in office as chairman of the Fredericksburg City Republican Committee. / We on the committee have come to depend on you for assistance in every phase of a campaign, whether door-to-door work, ticket sales, fund raising, parades, poll work, letters or anything else is the job at hand. This is especially helpful to us because out working group is so small. / I understand that you are all ready at work on the next campaign, starting work on an up to date card file. We will count on its availability next fall. We also accept with pleasure your offer to do door-to-doorwork for us in the coming election. / It will take all our efforts next fall. We will look forward to working with you. / Sincerely, / Samuel T. Emory / Chairman / City Republican Committee.
