Item 1: General Club Meeting / The meeting was called to order with 60 members present on November 19 at 6:35. / The chairman introduced Carrol Cox, Eighth District Rep. He tanked MWC YR’s for their Youth for Nixon members. He suggested there be more social activities at MWC. / The chairman issues a membership drive for 1969. / The college State Convention will be held in Richmond at the John Marshall Hotel February 14. Margaret Lawerence stated the procedure for becoming a delegate. The chairman stated the virtues of coming to the convention and she wants a big turn out. / The Regional Convention will be held in Lexington, Ky. In May, 1969. Fifteen delegates are allowed to go. / Margaret Lawerence announced that the Shenandoah Valley Conference is cancelled because there is a change of leadership in the Wand L Club and they can not hold it now. / There was suggestion to deliver the newsletters to the dorms instead of through the mail. This will be tried for the next newsletter. / Nancy Smith announced that there were Nixon psychedelic posters left on sale as well as other material. / Battlefield pictures are scheduled for 8:00 pm, November 19. / Carrol Cox stated that YR’s are able to attend the Senior Party Convention. / The Meeting was adjourned. / Respectfully submitted, / Recording Secretary
