DOUD – SECRETARY / DITCHLEY, VA. / VIRGINIA LEE WHITFORD –TREASURER/THE PLAINS, VA. / 27 November 1967 / Dr. Samuel T. Emory/608 Hawke St. / Fredericksburg, Virginia / Dear Sam: / Recently CBS TV in New York called me and they are doing an election profile on the State of Virginia. Unfortunately, what they need is the vote by precincts of the 62, 64, 65, and 66 elections. / It is going to take some time to get this information and about the only way I know to get it would be going through the morgue of the newspapers. / I rather think that the Free Lance Star would have it for Westmoreland, Caroline, Stafford, Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania. / Also, there is a paper in Louisa that I believe would have it for Louisa and Goochland Counties. / Do you think that this might be a project that the YR Club in the College could take on? / Would very much appreciate hearing from you. / Sincerely / Jack L.
