Item 1: City Republican Committee 608 Hawke Street Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 February 14, 1969 / Young Republicans Club / Mary Washington College / Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401 / Dear Y.R.’s: / As chairman of the Fredericksburg Republican Committee I would like to thank the membership of the Mary Washington Young Republican Club for their help in our local campaign. As you know, we were able to carry the city for both the Nixon-Agnew ticket and for our congressman, William L. Scott. Your help made possible much of our success. / We particularly appreciate your aid with our door to door campaign, especially the “Nixon Blitz”, and your work with “bumper branding,” passing out materials and other voter work in the shopping centers. / We thank you again.
