Article 1: City Republican Headquarters / The gloom on the faces of these GOP supporters after the television announcement of Michigan’s going for Humphrey was short-lived. Shortly after this picture was taken these young people were on their feet shouting “Dump the Hump” and cheering for their candidate, Nixon. It is thought by city and county Republican leaders that these young people will play a much greater part in the politics of this area in the future, since they have proven in this election year just what power they can wield. (See stories, other pictures, pages A-1, B-1.)
