Item 1: Immediately after the general club meeting on October 15, the executive board called a meeting. / The chairman appointed Nancy Smith as finance chairman and Sylvia Schwab as publicity chairman. / The board elected Becky Haney as treasurer. / Club funds were appropriated to the chairman for the Scott reception on October 25. / The amount was left to the chairman’s discretion. / The meeting ended with Bari Holden’s suggestion to send Scott literature to his supporters on campus before his speech on October 25. A 1000 newsletters were needed. Tina Convery was placed chairman of the project. / The meeting was adjourned. / Respectfully submitted, / Recording Secretary
